These reheat instructions apply to the La Cocina Community Food Boxes delivered on September 25th, 2020.

1. El Huarache Loco

Chicken Fajita Kit

Served with grilled onions, bell peppers, rice, beans, tortillas and salsa on the side

Allergen: None

Reheating Instructions: Reheat fajitas in microwave for 5 minutes. Reheat tortillas in a non-stick pan at medium heat. No butter or oil required. Keep refrigerated. Use within 5 days.

Joshua’s Special Fajita Kit

Grilled bell peppers, onions, and mushroom fajita. Rice, beans, cheese, tortillas and salsa on the side.

Allergen: None

Reheating Instructions: Reheat fajitas in microwave for 5 minutes. Reheat tortillas in a non-stick pan at medium heat. No butter or oil required. Keep refrigerated. Use within 5 days.

2. El Pipila

Enchiladas with Green Sauce

Served with red sauce, rice, beans and queso fresco.

Allergen: None

Reheating Instructions: Reheat in oven at 325F for 15 minutes, or in the microwave for 5 - 6 minutes. Keep refrigerated for up to 7 days.

Vegetarian Enchiladas

Potatoes, carrots, and zucchini wrapped in tortillas. Served with red sauce, rice, beans and queso fresco.

Allergen: Dairy

Reheating Instructions: Reheat in oven at 325F for 15 minutes, or in the microwave for 5 - 6 minutes. Keep refrigerated for up to 7 days.

3. Mi Comedor

Chicken Tamales

Chicken tamales with salsa verde.

Allergen: None

Reheating Instructions: Steam for 10 - 15 minutes.  Keep refrigerated. Use within 5 days.

Vegetarian Tamales

Cheese, jalapeño tamales served with a tomato salsa.

Allergen: None

Reheating Instructions: Steam for 10 - 15 minutes.  Keep refrigerated. Use within 5 days.

4. Estrellita’s Snacks

Chicken Pupusas with Curtido Slaw

Salvadoran corn masa flatbreads stuffed with chicken

Allergen: Dairy

Reheat: Place in microwave for 2-3 minutes; or transfer content to skillet and heat on low, 3 mins. Keep chilled or frozen.  Use within 6 days after being thawed.

Spinach + Cheese Pupusa with Curtido Slaw

Salvadoran corn masa flatbreads stuffed with Monterey cheese and chopped spinach

Allergen: Dairy

Reheat: Place in microwave for 2-3 minutes; or transfer content to skillet and heat on low, 3 mins. Keep chilled or frozen.  Use within 6 days after being thawed.

5. El Meson de Violeta

Tres Leches Cake

Light sponge cake soaked in sweet milk mixture.

Allergen: Dairy

Keep chilled. Use within 5 days.

6. Los Cilantros

Mexican Wedding Cookies

Butter cookie with almonds and powdered sugar

Allergen: Dairy, Almonds

Store in pantry. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.

Black Bean Soup & Curry Lentil Soup

Curry lentil Soup: Organic precooked lentils, sea salt, organic spices

Black bean soup: Organic precooked black beans, sea salt, organic rice vinegar and spices.
