How It Works
See What's Good
Every week we present a curated box of fresh produce, recommended by our farmers based off what's good and in season. You decide whether you want to go with a large box or small box. Whichever size you choose, you can customize it with as many add ons as you would like.
Build Your Box
First, start by selecting the size box you want. Then, add on as many items as you would like. Each add on item is intended to compliment something in the base box but sometimes we just like to throw in a random add on to surprise you!Get Started
Delivery or Pickup
Open your door on Saturday and find your box waiting for you! Or, pick your box up at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market from 9:30am to 1pm. You can also choose to pickup your box on Sunday at the Menlo Park Farmers Market.
Farms You're Supporting
Green Thumb Organics, G. L. Alfieri Farms, Kashiwase Farms, Twin Girls Farm, Green Thumb Organics, McGinnis Ranch, Brokaw Ranch Company, Oya Organics, McGinnis Farms, O'Live Healthty, Everything Under the Sun, and many more!
All of the farms that we work with, and the produce that we source, use organic practices but may not be organic certified due to the complicated (and expensive) process that requires.
Allergy Notice: If there is an item in the box to which you are allergic, please add a note when you review your cart regarding the item that shouldn't be included in your box. We will substitute it with a tasty alternative, so let us know about any other allergies you may have.
Delivery: We'll drop off your box by EOD Saturday, June 6th at your house with no contact delivery. Please make sure to fill out the delivery instructions when you check out for a seamless process.
Please note that due to our current bandwidth, we plan to limit deliveries to the area between Marin and San Jose. If you live outside of this area, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll see what we can do!
Pickup: Pickup is offered at CUESA's Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market at Happy Quail Farms booth anytime between 9:30 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 6th.
Due to popular demand, we are now also offering pickup at the Menlo Park Farmers Market from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm on Sunday, June 7th.
Donation: At check-out, add a donation of any amount to help those less fortunate. Funds will be used to further support farmers by buying their produce to donate to local food banks and homeless shelters via Food Runners.
Disclaimer: We purchase from small & local farms, so the availability of produce is seasonal and sometimes limited. If we are unable to meet demand on a box item, we will replace it with a tasty and equally valued alternative.
Honestly do yourself a favor and order the farmbox! I was completely blown away by the freshness and super high quality of the fruits, veggies and greens in my box. (OMG the strawberries and the corn y’all!) Plus, everything was clearly packed with pride and lots of care. I’ve tried other produce boxes and nothing comes close to the 409+co box. Also, no plastic bags & the ice pack ice was compostable! <3
I think I've ordered almost all the farm boxes; I got lucky enough to see a peninsulafoodist post on Instagram. (there was a great article later in the Palo Alto Weekly) The items chosen and the quality of the items are superior. The addition of Add Ons and expanding those categories, as well as adding recipes, shows that great human hard work is happening with this operation, that started quite hurriedly to help local farmers in the time of covid. I love getting this box every week, and I have also loved the La Cocina boxes. The delivery fee is very reasonable, and I like that I can pick up in Menlo Park if I want to avoid it. The amount of work that goes into this whole process of picking up and delivering accurately every single week must be overwhelming, and I appreciate getting great food delivered to me every week. I think I have talked 6 friends into ordering the box and they have been happy!
I asked for Wise Goat Organics jalapeno sauerkraut instead of kimchi and it arrived!! Thank you for reading my note. Also everything is so very fresh, and useful as always. I made a facebook post and tagged you, and I think you might have gained a customer from it!!
The produce is fresh, ripe, and delicious.
My only feedback: I wish I could add more corn as an add-on to the Big Box. I switched from the Big Box to the custom box just to get more corn. But now there are items I can't get from as add-ons, such as romaine lettuce. I can't figure out why some items appear only in a box or are unavailable as add-ons.
Trying something new. I like being able to build a box
